鬼畜利用K岛机场远程直掩boela,击落了不少日军轰炸机,不过这也从一个侧面说明,航空兵部队对boela的压制行动还是很令盟军感到不舒服的

3月19日,帝国航空兵继续前一日的攻势企图扩大战果,同时盟军也反应迅速,开始在航线上布置远程直掩,因此第二日的空袭战果减小,损失增大,两天的空袭行动过后,尽管对于盟军的海上交通线进行了相当的打击,但是参加行动的紫电改5中队和彗星4中队都损失了超过70%的飞机,不得不撤出战斗重新整备。南洋空战的惨烈程度可见一斑。2 w* r" i. \5 m& s6 k% J9 o
