努美阿和KB的会战失利后，蝗军预计TF58主力回南下撤退到近在咫尺的诺福克岛休整，KB只有200零战，并无脱离己方基地直掩范围去对抗盟军岸基航空兵的实力。也因此撤回到路甘维尔补充鱼雷，2天后大艇侦察发现努美阿以西居然有大型船团和少量舰载机搭载西行，遂派出KB全速西进，其实全速也只有6格，KB为增加舰载机数量编入了全部的21节CVE充实部队。结果居然是前2天受创的58主力，舍近求远直航澳洲休整。

第二天二师兄预计皇军柱岛主力会进场打击登陆舰队，于是拉来战列舰队主力复仇，不过大本营完全没有为了努美阿下血本的打算，拼炮战是不得已而为之的，当天全军闪人北上回布干维尔，美军舰队扑空不说还被潜水战队命中新泽西4雷。

瓜岛的一系列海战中，到了8月KB几乎全部航母都回国升级和修理中，美军的埃塞克斯级也同样脱离战场回国升级，数十条CVE组成的TF58处于猴子称王的黄金时代，

配合B24B29推土机完全占据了瓜岛海域制海权制空权，8月2日皇军出动了雪藏大半年的柱岛舰队全部主力舰，为争夺制海权在瓜岛前哨Kirakira爆发持续血战，当夜击沉主教，战沉陆奥，第二天和第三天被八戒的CVE群追杀，沉没2艘金刚。
第四天为了挽回损失，面临不可逆转的局面，估计美军航母在大胜之下不会全速撤回基地，预算出动了太平洋全部可用飞机，集结到瓜岛周边各个尚能使用的基地，超过2000架作战飞机发起复仇的一击！

Kirakira还不是瓜岛好吧，最多只能算瓜岛的前沿支撑点，本来就是为防御瓜岛拖延时间的，本身也没下大本钱，核心就一个主力野战师团加些杂兵，失守只是时间问题。! T4 A1 x6 N+ u: t; h9 p
南洋被皇军反潜集群击沉的潜艇貌似比运输船还多，完全是负资产。
