为此,在2个多月的时间里相继从南洋和国内运到苏瓦集结了大量的部队、舰艇、燃料、补给。因为缺乏专业的两栖登陆舰艇,蝗军不得不以数量弥补质量,光运输舰就集结了200余艘~~& y  K6 @- K; K6 ^8 \+ `0 Q& ^

为了减少登陆损失,蝗军决定先派遣2个旅团上岸占领港口,不过拥有铁路机动优势的盟军,在蝗军第一波登陆部队上岸后及时赶到了登陆场增援,蝗军第一天的攻击以失败告终,滩头的KB和MINIKB和盟军飞机大战2天,自损近30架,击落盟军各型飞机250架,加贺中雷一枚,震怒之下的天蝗命令主力部队第3天强行登陆发动攻击,至此顺利占领新西兰第一个滩头阵地----吉尔伯恩,胜利在向蝗军招手,毛利人自发组织各种慰问团夹道欢迎~~
