2 B& ~- {, D. Z7 @' W在登陆发起前的最后一夜,已经感觉到大战气息的帝国大本营出动了包括KB和驻岛舰队的大部分舰队巡航在Kwajalein Island 西侧6格海域,企图威慑盟军部队,干扰盟军部队的行动,但是帝国大本营判断盟军运输船队将要增援的地点应该是罗伊-穆尔岛,完全没有预计到盟军的实际攻击目标。- u, ^; h3 Q: O4 ~, [& ]% H
当时帝国舰队判断,KB的出现以及前几日雷击队的攻击已经足够威慑盟军登陆舰队裸奔登陆,因此在抛头露面一下之后选择了回港,以免长时间暴露在越来越猖獗的盟军潜艇面前。但是27大统领的胆略完全出乎本人的预料,大胆得近乎鲁莽,居然又裸奔登陆了。

58仍然躲在后方,实际上对登陆作战完全没有提供任何有益的帮助,也正是因为盟军空中力量的不作为,帝国雷击队还是取得了一些战果,可惜盟军登陆船只上的部队已经都上岸了,没有干掉任何地面部队。
