日军KB没能在瓜岛以南海域抓到TF的后撤部队，因此抓了几艘DD虐了一下。& Q% \) j" P3 r1 c2 w8 Q1 e5 H
不过前去突击美军CV的CA编队遭到了瓜岛仙人掌机队的集中攻击，伤亡较为惨重。
% k4 p' w) J, a* U& O' |2 V好在还没有沉船，保持了日军截至目前CL以上船只全数幸存，仅沉没几艘DD的辉煌战果！; o/ _& `* a9 |" s, Q! T
4 S/ x- M# k& j; t0 U同时，美军航空队也向KB发动了突击，不过由于没有了航母编队，进攻非常杂乱。徒增伤亡。。。
