联合舰队几乎全体出动,舰艇云集,浩浩汤汤奔向锡兰,光大小KB就分成了4个分队,水面舰队更是星罗棋布在印度洋,运输船队统统在港口卸载,可惜锡兰上刚被占领的基地港口规模只有1级,卸载必然极其缓慢,这样给盟军造就了很多机会,大统领准备寻找战机中。。。。
时至42年9月底,大陆战场长沙防线出现危机,派遣军利用AE陆战的新机制,不断的谨慎攻击,不断的打出1:2,不断的消耗国军有生力量,在日复一日的绞肉中,国军渐渐羸弱,最终长沙东一格的接近地国军终于被2:1击溃,长沙防线岌岌可危,而国军也被消耗得再也没有多余的预备队去堵这个缺口了。校长开始准备战略后撤,最终要撤出长沙一线,防守更西边的战线。
由于长沙接近地依托地形防守的要地失守,派遣军打开突破口准备迂回长沙。长沙防线在可见的未来已无法坚守。国军准备放弃长沙一线,退守常德、芷江、桂林、梧州一线接近地依托WR地形防守。该道防线的好处是都是WR森林+岩石地形,堆叠限制较大,可以很好地防御轰炸和迂回,应该可以守一阵子,不好的地方是各要地比较分散,相互之间无法迅速支援。
1942年10月1日,南方军第46师团之前在锡兰南部的科加拉登陆并占领后,被盟军堵在城里不能寸动,南方军为寻求在锡兰的突破,第38师团又在锡兰北部的贾夫纳基地登陆。盟军已做好防守准备,就看南方军登陆力度大不大了。9 M. [6 z7 @7 H! G
