为了进一步拓展盟军的后勤补给线，防止侧翼可能的日军骚扰，盟军统帅部决定拿下现在已经孤立无援的斐济。

盟军行动展开第一天就出师不利，受伤返航途中的老式潜艇吕37号正巧路过斐济与盟军大舰队遭遇，鱼雷齐射，命中盟军护航航母卡萨布兰卡号两枚鱼雷，卡萨布兰卡号哀嚎着沉入海底，由于本来就受伤在身，吕37号在攻击得手后未能逃脱盟军舰队的围捕，被命中多弹，也沉没，帝国授予全体艇员神厕特级牌位一份。9 ?. G+ V/ F0 _3 B, m) n1 ]* V

由于是夜间被潜艇攻击，护航空母卡萨布兰卡号居然带着27架地狱猫一起沉入海底，更扯的貌似把27个精锐飞行员也带走了。。。

白天到来后58化悲愤为力量，击沉了大量从斐济外逃的日本船只

斐济守军早已集中在苏瓦，工事已经修到最高等级，补给储备充足，虽然敌我兵力悬殊，但帝国守军仍然准备给予盟军大量杀伤
